About materials and technique
Embroidery floss was bought in a local independent shop, and canvases were upcycled from cheap and illegal reproductions of "In the Car" by Roy Lichtenstein, mass-printed in China, and bought at the Polish seaside for 2 PLN each (0,47 Euro).
Reaching far back to my first means of intentional visual expression, I rediscovered embroidery, a technique my grandmother taught me. When other kindergarteners used crayons, I was stitching flowers on a piece of fabric.
About the subject:
Before the phase of infatuation with the West, before succumbing to Christianity, before building the first temple, my ancestors would simply practice mindfulness in the forest. No prayers to an unseen overlord, just appreciation of nature in front of our eyes.
It was essential for me to create the piece without overproducing waste. I reclaimed canvases, painting over pro-consumerism pop art. I reclaimed a technique of my ancestors. I embodied the importance of respecting nature by creating a sustainable artwork.
Unreal Fortune is a conceptual artwork that captures the ephemeral and invaluable—air. This thought-provoking piece features 149.5 ml of fresh free-range air from a Polish meadow, sealed on May 22, 2020, within glass jars. The collection invites viewers to question the nature of value and wealth. Each jar (28 cm x 22 cm x 5.5 cm) is priced at 15,000 €, with the complete set available for 150,000 €.
Through this work, the artist reflects on the dichotomy of worth: the jars hold immense value because of the artist's proclamation, yet remain unsold. This paradox mirrors the experience of navigating life as both a struggling artist and a "wealthy" individual, underscoring themes of hope, patience, and faith.
Dive deeper into the inspiration and meaning behind Unreal Fortune by exploring the artist's creative process and its intriguing quantum-like state of existence.
Price: 15,000 € per jar | 150,000 € for the complete set.

Discover Skóra, an evocative triptych exploring identity, resilience, and transformation. Combining acrylic on worn-out paper with enlarged scans of the artist’s body, this 70 x 50 cm (each) series symbolizes the tension between self-perception and societal pressures.
Inspired by skin as a canvas of life’s experiences and leather as a protective layer, Skóra celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the strength found in vulnerability.
